Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Absolutely stunning 68.

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...398973677.html

Completely new frame off restoration of 1968 Chevrolet 1/2 ton C10 fleetside pickup. Almost every nut, bolt and cotter key replaced or painted. Many extra photos of build during year and half rebuild.

Pristine, complete and highly detailed by professionals. Odometer reads 60,509, could be original, but can't prove it from history.

** New cab mounts/ cushions.
** Underside of cab and box totally cleaned, blasted and undercoated while apart.
** Total factory repaint, matches trim color on vin tag. Single stage cardinal red (red/orange). Stock color. By pros.
** Doors, box, hood, fenders, tailgate all removed and painted inside and out separately off frame/cab.
** Absolute minimal rust repair to one small patch on drivers cab corner. Solid everywhere else. NO RUST anywhere.
** Engine was rebuilt about 25-30K. ago by previous owner. Very solid 250 straight Chev six. Just PURRS, gets on down the road.
** Factory 3-speed on column, shifts effortlessly.
** New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel resurfaced.
** ALL new brake system. Master cylinder (manual brakes), wheel cylinders, shoes, hoses, hardware ALL NEW. Turned drums.
Brakes are top notch, all four corners.
** Engine, transmission, bell housing, rear diff. all steam cleaned and painted (gun not rattle can.)
** Total chassis pressure washed, blasted and cleaned than sprayed with chassis black. Any rust scale removed.
** Engine has total detail, all gaskets new. Rebuilt 2 barrel carb. New starter, alternator, heater core, hoses, belts, more.
** Underhood powdercoated gloss black parts. Inner fenderwells (both sides), core support, rad. support, hood hinges, horns, more.
** Interior of cab, door jambs, inner door panels etc. totally repainted. Gas tank, removed, boiled, resealed, painted. New sending.
** ALL new dash knobs, dash pad, floor mat. All gauges work perfectly. New pedal pads, new armrests, highly detailed. **Seat professionally reupholstered. NOT seat covers.
** New grille, lens, all new emblems. Complete inside box repaint.
** ALL glass perfect (small rear window), except for three small windshield rock chips. Window regulators great, roll up easily.
** ALL new door weather stripping, window felts, front/rear glass rubber gaskets. Everything replaced new.
** New 275x70x15" Hankook white walls (3 miles), wheels blasted, repainted to match, NEW chrome caps.
** CLEAN Oregon title, my name.

Summary: Very nice Chevy collectible, maybe museum piece to right collector. Asking $ 22,500. O.B.O.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

My friend want's this truck but I think he's waaaay too high.
It has some neat options...backstory is it came from a farm in Montana to a guy in Southern MN then to the current owner.

Thoughts?

72c 30 DRW Fire Truck w/402. & 20k mi $12.5K - Ad says 72, door panels say 71. Cool either way. Not sure what I'd do with this if I wasn't a fireman other than just admire it. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/...379291174.html

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

There is something about this truck I really like. Maybe it's a little bit the color, patina, LSX. engine. Just wish the long bed center stake holes were closed up and either they kept the bed side markers or closed the front fender side markers.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I agree, that one is very nice, but a bit pricey. Probably wouldn't need anything but a seat cover. You should get it anyway....

No idea - if interested, always ask for the SPID, VIN (picture of the tag with correct rivets) at a minimum. Both will tell at least what the gb door and the cab were born as. Shifter is in the correct location, just looks like a different boot plate and home-made shortened stick.

Yes, that would be normal on 69. It should also have 4 wheel drive emblem under front side marker lights. Jocko is right, best to check VIN plate and SPID for correct K code if you want a factory built one. A lot of homemade 4x4’s and short beds around this area. I know of 4 homemade 4x4’s in my hometown.

If the "little rust" characterization is accurate, that's a good deal.
