Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
Took my evap. out and cleaned up the box to see what I've got. Apparently when more careless (ha!@) and dropped the engine in 1993, I sprayed along the outer edge of the box when I painted the firewall. Really a good five inches worth on the RH truck side. At any rate, it's a great box otherwise, so I'll try removing the paint. From what I've seen, I prefer not to paint the box. Worst "case" scenario I'll have to. Any suggestions how to remove that paint with no affect on the plastic evap. case is appreciated.
Also appears the A/C-Heater door in the evap. box doesn't want to close all the way. Don't know if that's common, but sure was a lot of dirt in there despite being garaged and little use. BEAUTIFUL truck CST10

What is the A/C-Heater door and Drain Tube in the Evap. box, and the Air Shut Off Valve Door in the cowl, for $300 Alex.

If using a I phone and you turn your phone long ways. Bottom of phone pointing right with volume buttons pointing down. Use the regular button for pictures and they should be right side up when you upload them.

Used my '70 chevy driver for truck stuff. Man this thing pulls a load slow with the 411 gears, but it purrs right along.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
Took my 68 to my buddy's shop to have cab and bed pulled off chassis to have a little body work done and prep it to be transferred to its new donor chassis. Now I sit and ponder for 2 weeks trying to decide the next step. Almost tired of thinking about it....., naaa not really.
