Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I'd rock one. I had an xb as a company vehicle...put a bunch of miles on it with no issues and good mpg, great head and legroom for me. Would be cool to have one that looked like our trucks!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I run theses in everything I can that is a street car.
Great light level at a reasonable price and they last a decent amount of time. The color is whiter than the typical H4 ones marketed here. http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/os...r-h4-two-bulbs For off road vehicles I like these Amazon.com: HELLA HLA-H83140141 H4 12V 100/55W... Street legal low beam but brutal high beam that I swear will melt the chrome off the front bumper.

That is funny. The link in my response doesn't work but the one in yours quoting mine does.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Mine are supposed to have stock bulbs in them; we'll see when they arrive.
Adding to the confusion: Here's a plug and play harness, if you don't wanna cut your stock wiring: http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...s-p-20965.html

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
been having a little fun the last couple days, inspired by ATVPRO on his work station, i am building a welding station for my new welder, $60 bucks in tubing and a bottom of an old tool box and this is what i am coming up with ! i wanted a couple drawers to put , welding clamps/ wire/ misc and a little section of work bench, so anyway here is my start to my welding station. I have alot more work to go but at this point i only have about 4 hours in it

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I also had time to mess with a couple other little projects, mount for my valve block and breathers for my valve covers (i am thinking about shortening the breather , so they dont stick up so high)

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Nice work on the cart. That should be super convenient...probably can keep about 90% of the tools you need in there since nearly everything bolted on our trucks uses 1/2", 9/16, or screws...add a hammer, pry bar, and some duct tape and you're set
Good spot for the accuair valve block. Should be a clean looking setup. Not sure on options on the breathers...

i do wonder if theres nothing in the way of the opening when there mounted , i can immagine the first rocker and springs sitting in front of it

Or you can do the chevrolet script...that'd be fun to do free-hand with a dremel

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
i think you could just flatten the tops on a beltsander to get the edelbrock logo off and then do a chemical eching same way they do to the copper electric circuitboards , maybe you could put "hartbeat of america" on them in small fond , it would be waaaaay simpler than trying to carve it out with a dremel
come to think of it you could use a red copper coverplate over the logo and use the same bolds to hold it on top , age it intoo black reworka little with steelwhool so it looks like a jeansbutton and then just keep it that way
