Merry Christmas to you too. SUCH a pretty truck. A real reminder why we all fell in love with these in the first place.

I've been trying but I can't figure it out. I suffer from "lame old dude-itis" apparently.

I can select a bunch of PM's and mark them for deletion but then can't make them delete.

Never mind, figured it out. Lol

The frame has a 1978 Camaro clip and the rear axle is from a 1995 GMC Jimmy. The driveshaft is from a 1970's Nova. The engine is a 2002 Chevy Avalance 5.3L and the transmission is from a 2003 Suburban because I didn't want four wheel drive. The doors are from the 1955 and the grill from the '57. I made my own bed wood from rough cut oak planks. the seats and the overhead console are from a 1995 blazer and the gas tank was for a '70's Mustang... So the truck spams from 1955 to 2003. Can anyone hear Johnnie Cash singing in the background?

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Here is Maggie she's a 51 with earlier doors. Been in the family since 1989. She's on her second paint job and second engine since we purchased her. The original 228 had a cracked block when we bought it so she now has a 54 235 with the Corvette head. With the exception of a twelve volt conversion with an alternator it is stock. Rolling on stock 16's with some fifties vintage aftermarket beauty rings. She's not all show girl, but more of a working girl. She gets used to move hay, furniture and engines regularly. I hauled 1260 pounds of Hardi plank siding drops to disposal several years ago with her and barely broke a sweat.

HO455 - best working truck I've seen in a while. Looks show worthy to me, also!

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Thanks Hampshire. You can barely see part of the chip board box liner I made for her. There are sides that we can put in to protect the rest of the box when shes working. Took my mom to a local charity car show a couple of years back. We parked outside the show and when we were leaving one of the officials came up and told us we had won best truck and asked if we could come back in. We found out in addition to the judging they also had a bunch of cancer kids who got to pick their favorites and we won best truck. So we went back in and met the kids and took some for a ride. It was pretty cool!

I tell folks all the time my 1949 3600 is a daily driver stock with a 217ci and used to move multiple things and yes without breaking a sweat. They don't make them like that/this anymore.
Keep on trucking!!

Hello;

Here are a few pic of my 57 chevy panel as I found it.
It is a work in progress.
Did not come with doors.
Real rough with a lot of work needed.

Yikes that's quite the dent in the dash! A 57 panel and an F1! Good stuff.
