Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

My next door neighbor had a 63? Nova SS. He was a jerk and he ruined that car. He tore all the SS trim off and put in the most god awful bright blue seats. The car was bronze. They didn't look good. Nothing he did to that poor thing looked good. It was a nice car when he got it. It was a mess when he sold it.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

picked up this fun little revolver recently - 1971 Ruger Blackhawk old model convertible .45 Colt / .45 acp

checks all my boxes;
my year
first year edition (.45)
low four digit serial
only made three years (old model - three screw)
low production (last year serial starts 21,804)
unmolested (not converted to transfer bar)
factory convertible with both original cylinders
original box and spare cylinder velvet bag / box
adjustable rear sight (super)
original SR medallion grips
short 'gunslinger' 4 5/8" barrel
worn enough to shoot - clean enough to look good doing it

nice addition to my '71 ruger lineup!

shoots .45acp pretty well - 5yds slow fire 6rds

but have to give a nod to the .45lc at 15yds 2-3sec shot intervals 18rds ea

while we were out, my 10yo boy did some damage on that bad guy and saved a hostage!

1971 Blackhawk. 357 old model unconverted with .38 specials at 7yds

I like those Rugers. My first handgun was a Ruger 22 single six with both cylinders with a western holster and gun belt in 1972. I gave the belt away but I still have the 22 and holster to this day.

You guys are making me recall memories of my youth.
When I was about 13-14 years old, about 6 of us boys all about the same age, were out shooting squirrels just up the hill about 5 miles from where I live currently, we were at two brother's Aunt and Uncles Ranch.

The two brother's had Ruger Single Single 6 .22 pistols and the rest of us had .22 rifles.

I guess things got boring so we were putting cow pies on fence post and shooting them. Then it progressed to quick draw shooting the cow pies.

Well it did not go too well for the younger brother, when the gun went off in the holster, the bullet entered the outer calve of his leg and traveled just below the skin like a mole and stopped just above his ankle. Lucky, Lucky Guy! compared to what could have been.

We all, and rightly so... got in trouble for "Gun Play"

This whole classic GM Truck thing is old hat. I've had this for 30 years now. I guess I don't wear it that often!

it was a school. hasn't been used in a few yrs, only had 21 students so they closed it and bus them 20 mins down the road. it is actually a pretty big roof (approx 140 square) and the only reason we could see them doing a roof on a not being used building is to burn up the budget. if the school board has money left over at yrs end, it goes back to the gov and they will usually get less budget next yr. So at budget deadline there is a mad scramble to spend it all so they get the same amount or more next yr. ya, stupid, but it keeps me in work...lol...and money.
been paid for two of the 3 weeks so far. grossed $4200 for the first 2 weeks up there. $3400 for work, and just over $800 for travel time. nice thing they put my travel on a seperate check so i don't pay as much taxes

Your tax dollars at work.

By the way you're not paying enough taxes. Just ask Governor Hair Gel. Step it up buddy. He's got another bridge that no one will use to build.

Yeah. Fresno to Madera. That's such a good idea. I'm sure it will be very popular.

I'm sure the people in Fresno are just dying to go to Madera at high speed to pick grapes.

Where's the next one going? From Solvang to Gilroy? You've got to be kidding me.

I could see a high speed rail going from Humboldt to Los Angeles. Just don't check that luggage that smells like skunk. It's not a skunk. Take my word on that.

Those look real good. Do you make them?

I have a sausage maker but I've never used it. I kind of want to after seeing those. Yummy.

Yes we make our own . Have to mix in pork no fat on venison. Friend has a commercial sausage maker used to use the kitchenaid with the attachment very slow .
