They won't be powder coated. They will be painted. They will look great I promise.

Thanks man I appreciate that. I can't take credit for the bumper. It was Mario's idea. I am going to round all the corners on the flat plate should look good when it is finished

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

looks good. How will the tube be bolted to the frame (Pics)? Will the tubes be welded to that plate that mounts to the bumper?

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Tubes are welded to the plates. Just finished it tonight. Then I will drill both tubes right were the tubes meet. I will tap both tubes and I will put a set screw/ bolt through the tubes. I won't do it until I get the bed back on.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Thanks guys. This is the last time I ever build a truck that is already painted. It is to tough to work around but I will get it done. Thanks for following the build.

The build is absolutely amazing. I only wish I could see it in person someday. Ohio is a long ways away, lol.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

When you get a magazine spread, I'm sure we'll all want to know what magazine and which month it will be in. Tootsie is by far the most detailed build I think I've ever seen. Or at least have been able to see the details. And I'm certain I don't even know about half of them! Simply amazing!

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Wow thank you. It's hard for me to slow down on all the details. The 72 I build took 4 months to build start to finish. This one is way slower and I know it can't be built over night. But I need to get it done and fast. I was not going to say a word but I feel I need to let you guys know my moms cancer is back. We just found out on Friday. It's not looking good so not sure what's going to happen. She can't have anymore radiation or chemo. So I think it will be more surgery. It's scary for us right now. We don't really know what is going to happen but we are going to hang in there and support her the best we can. Thanks again you guys for the support it means a lot

Do like you are doing and you guys just take care of her the best you can. I am in the same situation as you at this very moment. I am in a race to finish my truck before I lose my dad. As of last night they gave him 5-15 days so it looks like I wont make it so it will be a tribute build for him. Its very tough and make no mistake she is very proud of you I am sure. You guys just give her much love and make every day count man. Many prayers for your mother and family and yall keep your heads up and try tobe positive i know its tough. Take care, Respect and beautiful build!
