AWESOME truck! How'd you get that stance, just a drop or you got bags? I got a '63 long/fleet that I'm in the process of building and want mine to sit just about the height of yours.

Its an ECE 4/6 Drop. Still rides good too, without c-notches. I don't haul much weight in the bed though, unless the ice chest is really full!

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

I believe this was for sale on eBay a while ago. The wheels appear to be bolted on the stock drum brakes. Although they seem to be bigger than what you’re asking for, perhaps whoever makes this design offers them in a smaller size.

Yeah Mark, I like the extended spear as well. He's got quite a few mods on it. Here's a few more pics.

I like the way the 54 Chevy grill fits in there.

You must have had a 4.0 GPA. That thing is sweet! A real diamond in the rough.
If that is an original paint truck, resist restoration, lean toward preservation. Try a hair dryer on those stickers to soften up the glue and peel 'em off easy.
You scored!

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

tmills213, in the bed, just above the GVW sticker, is that cut out and hinged on both sides? If so, was it just for access to something on that camper?

Looks like a heck of a great place to start!!! Have fun!!

The thing looks like it was grandpa's, and he took amazing care of it.
He just needed to wash it from time to time.

It's because of the camper. It probably has not seen daylight since new.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

OK, here's mine- '63 GMC K1000 Custom Suburban. Different because it is a covered wagon on a shortbed frame and 4-wheel drive. Bone stock original except for the dual exhaust and aftermarket wheels. Has the 305E V-6, SM420, Pow-R-Lok diff's, Custom package, and ordered as radio delete. 88K original box A miles. Spent two years restoring this one- the most fun I have ever had working on a vehicle.
