Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Better hurry with the roof. I don't think they sell plastic that large.
Also, I bet the living quarters are getting tight right about now. Drew, you are amazing. Seems like you are a guy that goes in with both feet at everthing you do. Keep it up I am sure it will be a work of art just like Young Frankenstein.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Dude, you better be glad you've got the wife you do! I've done some moderate to major stuff to our houses, and mine'd have to be medically tranquilized if I did that to the house. I know you're a pro and all, but dang that looks like a lot to bite off. Bet it'll be killer when it's done. Aw, hell, you're in Memphis, just flat roof that dude, put some roll roofin' on it, and slap up some chipboard walls, and tell Mama it's goooood! (That's what they do around here!) Gonna be great, Drew.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I just read this entire thread in two nights. You certainly have a lot of skill, but what I'm most in awe of is your drive and level of commitment. You have accomplished a monumental task with VERY little outside help in a relatively short period of time. As someone else has already mentioned, what makes it even more amazing is that in the same short period of time, you've also managed to squeeze in all these other projects, business ventures, vacations, family and missionary work.
I don't know where you get that energy....it's unbelievable. The truck is turning out stunning and my hat's off to you. You're in the home stretch now. I'm looking forward to seeing the finishing touches. |

We missed it all even though they were calling for severe t-storms and hail. I have tar paper on all of it now.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
House is all framed and all the tar paper is on! Still need to build the front porch, but I am waiting on the special order old growth Douglas Fir beams. At least the house will stay dry from here on out. Trades will start this week.
