Re: Project. Long Overdue

It's been a few months since I have really done anything to the truck, but I got it out on sunday and took a few pics while the sun was out.

I took a break from it (Work made me do it) and I am getting that fire back to finish this thing up. After seeing all of cheby's and slick 67's car show, sema pictures, it got me motivated again. Thanks guy's!

I'll post some more pics later this week.

Yes Mike did a killer job for sure. The square belongs to freind. The short story is; it belonged to a girl I grew up withs Big brother, he had it in HS and was very invloved with a local club. The truck was shown alot in the 80's-90's, at the portland roadster show and several others. He got paralyzed from a motorcycle accident in the early 90's and he continued to enjoy the truck. His plan was always to give it this daughter, well he passed away in 99' and the truck has been sitting ever since. I offered to help them get back on the road again so his daughter could enjoy it. The truck is still as nice as could be, needs a few minor things, but it is like a time capsule. I was glad I could help them with it.

Well if I wasn't so far away I would come and lend you a hand. I'm really good at taking things apart.

Not for nuthin', and absolutely no insult intended, but I'd be afraid to own Cloud 9, much less drive it. I'd get in yours and lay rubber all over town with a big smile on my face! Just personal preference, I love 'em both, just differently.

Few update pics...Lowered some more in the front, Finished the dash, polished the trim rings on the marker lights and installed them.

I'm hoping tomorrow to get the tail lights, rear bumper installed, work on the engine harness install. Thanks for looking!

Thanks...I think its around 5"-5 1/2". It has 3" spring, stepped a-arm that I think is good for 2" or so. I just cut 1/4 coil out of the spring. I like where it sits...but I might feel different after I drive it some.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Looks great! It's good to see somebody getting some work done. The board sure went quiet over the holiday and I'm stalled out too. What size tire is on there?

Thanks, I got all the x-mas lights down and put away...time to get this thing done I've had a long break from it. The rear tire is 275/60/15 on a 15x10 with 6" backspace, the fronts are 225/70/15 on a 7" wheel. These wheels have been on the truck since 2000, I'm thinking about having the centers painted grey and leave the lip polished and polish the inside since you can see through them. Any opinions how this?

Thats what I am hoping. I need to get down and get some color chips so I can find the right color. I wish I knew someone with the digital paint booth program so I could play with the colors for the wheels.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

The painted centers would be cool but color choice is tuff! I think you're on the right track with grey.
