Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

We've replaced the straight 6 with a 1993 SBC V-8. Radiator inlet/outlet same as original (with a beefed up core).

Arcane Question of the Week: Do any of you happen to know which radiator hoses will fit this? (Engine mounted on back set of holes...around 2" further back than V-8 original equipment location was.)

Thanks.

Mark

CLUTCH LINKAGE PROBLEM...Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

All,

Problem: Clutch pedal to clutch linkage from original straight 6 250/292 engine will not fit now that we have a 350 V-8 with headers installed.

Solutions anyone? ...that might be easier than custom fabricating new linkage components?

Thanks!

Mark

I love how this wheel looks and feels in the truck!! Love how the original dash panel turned out...it was just really cleaned up by my brother while I was at a camp...no repaint!

Super Chevy Show is coming October 14, 15 and 16th at Houston Raceway (Royal Purple Racepark) and you still have a ways to go!! That's a little more than 40 days, and I plan on being there with my truck!

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Sorry about the lack of updates. I'm home on break so things are gonna get going again!

Alright yesterday I got new hood letters, headlight bezels, and a beautiful Tekna spray gun. The letters and bezels will inspire me to finish up the front end, and I cannot wait to try out this gun.....should spray like a dream.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

Since I have ceramic coated headers...is it best to put on the stock manifolds for the engine break in?..........you know what that means

Yeah that's what all the cam companies suggest. Break in the cam with the stock manifolds, the break in process produces to much heat for ceramic coated headers. Good luck with the break in.

Awesome project! I love the 67 stepper. I had me one of those a long time ago and loved it. First rate build all the way. I'm in.
