Pat,
Thanks! No everything including paint is original (small touch ups) I THINK the mirrors were added. Not sure

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

Here's one I picked up a few months ago.

It does have rally wheels, and larger tires, but other than that, this thing is just about like the day it came off the dealers lot.

1 repaint a long time ago

Because someone liked medium blue better than Dark blue

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

I like that spid. Just the right comfort and convenience options.

Would that have just had a medium blue roof, or the med/dark/med/dark pattern?

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

There is another one out there
I spoke with the owner on Instagram
I think he’s in Georgia
This is what it looked like from the factory
Edit, after I saw Jocko’s post
I’d have a hard time restoring it
The sentimental value of driving it with my son across the country
Is how I want to remember this truck
It’s weird, but it has this distinct smell off oil/carb cleaner in the cab
Whenever I open the door on it, to take a drive
That road trip appears in my mind

Completely understand. Buuuuut... perhaps a full on resto, then repeat/relive that trip in the new (same) truck Or better yet, Road Trip part deux, "a whole new route"

I've seen that truck at Chevyland. I like it but understand his attachment to it.

The blue GMC is mine, thanks for posting! It was a mostly original plain jane '72 when I bought it. Technically, it has been "modified" from original with the full wheel covers and white top.

awesome truck Ken - what size tires are you planning on using once the lift comes off (and I think that's a great call)
