Re: SoCal checkin' in
Hey from Redlands in the IE. Just started on my 70 project. Don't expect it to be rolling for awhile, but would be interested in a meet sometime. Any plans coming up this spring/summer?

What up fellas!!
I think the rent got to high for R&R's. You know us hotrodders, we spend money on our projrcts not our stomachs. I here in Inglewood on Tuesday nights at the Home Depot parking lot, they have a meet there. Next to Hollywood Park Race Track. Huero, Johnro, where you guys been? |

Re: SoCal checkin' in
I think I can make it. Are we just inviting trucks, or can we invite others with cars also?

I might take my Nova. Georges has decent parking and is one of the few family owned/run restaurants left. I thought it would be a good idea to patronize it. Never have ate there but have heard good reviews. Is everyone o.k. with the time and day? I believe John want's an earlier time. I'd like to see a head count. Tell all your friends, huero. |

If we're going to do this we should post a thread on the main board about it.

I agree. Or at least send private emails to a few people.
Other than that I will be working on my new engine. |

Re: SoCal checkin' in
Also fellas, its not like we have to have a meet, if someone is working on their truck and need help, invite us over. In fact when I decided to take my bed off, I will be calling on a few of you.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
My truck is no where near driveable, but I'd be interested in coming out from the IE for a weekend date at the end of April.

If you cant drive your hotrod, still come. You never know who can help with advice, work or even parts unless you come a meet others who are fixing up there rods.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
It might be a good idea to post a couple of dates so you can get responses on who can make it or not.
Just a suggestion. |

Re: SoCal checkin' in
hey VDOG.. thanks for the welcome!
she runs really strong .... only 2500 miles on a rebuilt 350... pretty sweet. for right now i just want to lower her a bit and put some new wheels on. its a 3/4 ton with 8 lugs.. i really want some basic rally wheels but im havin a hard time finding those in 8 lug. my biggest hurdle though is im tryin to find an experienced mechanic for basic stuff... also someone who is trustworthy with suspension/lowering knowledge. anyone on this board have any recommendations in L.A. for mechaincs and or a suspension guy with 68-72 truck experience? thanks alot..... best - smokey |
