Well I am back from Sydney. I am finally getting things done on the truck.
Acuuair is installed


Oliver is 22lbs now, he was 18 when I left for Australia!


I just ordered the chrome smoothies 15x8 reverse with a smaller 3" cone than the 5" in the pics, with Coker G78 Pli Bias tires

My carb gummed up over the winter so I should have it cleaned and running in a week. I unfortunately am working 6 12-14hr days, so I can pay for this but I dont have time to install the parts!!!!

I hope to drive it really soon, then its off to paint.

How did the wife do on the job?

Next time you set your truck down for the winter, you may want to consider some Stabil in the fuel.
We used this in our Pontiacs, then put them in storage for the 3 years we were in Hawaii.... we had zero problems with them when we finally pulled them out. Fresh battery, fresh gas, some starter fluid, and they cranked right up and ran like champs.
Just something to consider friend !!

Got all my wiring sorted. I had a 6 ohm ground that was giving me Accuair ECU issues. Now I am rocking and rolling!!






Should I use the Custom trim? I will be running chrome wheels and bumpers soon once it gets repainted.





I think it looks cool up close but from a distance it may look off. I will wait until I get the new chrome door handles, and the bumpers and wheels and see how it looks.

Thank McMurphy. Australia was amazing and was a bucket list place to visit!! The wife won an award for her film she stared in. It received best independent film award from the 10 day film festival!

I put Stabil in the fuel but it was not the ethanol stabil. It gummed up for sure. I cleaned the carb out today and it was sludged up for sure. Next time I will run it dry for storage.

I little video of the air ride, Dont mind the fenders, I have new ones that I dont want to trim until the Coker WWW and chrome smooothies show up. I will then install the new front fenders, trim and bolt down.

So now I have the air suspension running the starter is grinding. I have removed all shims, it's a 3HP mini starter, there are no more adjustments to make. It has a 168 tooth flywheel from summit. the starter full engages the entire width of the flywheel but the teeth don't full insert. It seems odd I would have to shave the billet adapter to make it fit closer to the wider part of the flywheel. Any other recommendations?

Any chance of a photo showing your issue?
Only thing I know for sure when adjusting your starter is it should have a gap between the bendix and the flywheel/flexplate big enough to slide a large paper clip wire in.

So my wheels and tires arrived today. Coker did a real awesome job on binding the tires together. There was a 1.5" gap between beads!!! I had to stretch the tire out and hit it with a heat gun for a while.

Haha. I'm driving it real soon. The driveshaft shop has me on hold so I'm doing what I can while I'm waiting. It's gonna hit the rd real quick.

For some reason the embedding text has changed, and I suspect it is on the YouTube side of the house.
I just go to the last video I posted, open it in edit mode, copy the text and paste it to my new posting, and then swap out the video "address".

So my carpet came in yesterday from ACC I bought it from a wholesaler online for $125 and they offer the same carpet by the yard. I got enough to carpet the whole firewall, the kick panels from the bottom of the dash to the floor pan, and the back of the cab which I will build a full box with a sub, 2 ams and carpet so its all the same black 80/20.

Is it wrong to love a deluxe wheel so much?




I am torn. I was going to go with a distressed brown leather for the bench and the door panels but I really like the black bench. Whats your opinion. I would most likely if I go brown leather keep the burlap for a while, then remove it and adhear the leather so it matched the brown seat.

IMHO keep the black if you are going with AC and tinted windows, otherwise they get murderously hot in the summer, and that is never fun.
The brown would be MUCH cooler to sit on/get into the truck and drive with if they are going to be sitting in any direct sunlight.

Heheh I had to look and see where you were located geographically as that is a factor.
Up here in Alaska, you want all the warmth you can get !!

I just layed the boards down on top of the raised cross sills. This bed was shot so it was temp only. I have a new oem bed coming that will have the real wood floor in it with the strips. I grabbed some decking lumber from lowes and went at it on the truck. It looks good for now.

No A/C on this one. I am not too worried about the temp becuase this will be a cruiser on nice days. The color is what I am concerned about. I want the best look and I do like the brown but I am wondering if its too much contrast in a small cab.

Triming carpet but I wanted to make sure is this the orientation of the lower sill? Does anyone have pics of the weatherstriping and sill area?
