Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
We secured a spot at SEMA for the truck to be outside in part with VIAIR. Really excited to have it there. Here is a cool shot I took the other day and thought I would share.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Took the hood over to the painter today, to have it matched to the red already on the truck. Just one step closer to finishing it all up.
I am having some trouble finding a good way to install the headliner. I don't want to drill holes in the roof, but all adhesive tries, just doesn't work. Plus, with the heat out here, it may not last. I have used the VHB 3M tape, but maybe I need to used more, all around the perimeter. |

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
How about attaching some rare earth magnets to the back of the headliner?
Like these: http://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/magcraft-nsn0604/ each one as a pull force of 10 lbs for this size, there are others too. These have 18 lbs of pull force each. Apex Magnets seems to have a better selection.. https://www.apexmagnets.com/1-5-x-1-8-disc Both diameter and thickness effect the strength of the magnet. They have a 1.25" dia x .25" thick one that has a 30 lb pull force....

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
I'll look into this, and tried some already. Problem is, the adhesive holding the velcro, is what can't hold.
Thanks man! Quote:

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Made a lot of progress this weekend as I am getting prepared to leave Friday to start heading to the Goodguys show in northern California. Built it to drive, so that is exactly what I am doing. Was able to get the 1-piece windows in, and also start on the bed wood. I counter sunk the bottom side of the boards, so I can keep the bed bolts hidden underneath.
Still have to clear them all for water protection, and should be able to install by Wednesday. |

How do you like their conversion kit? Did you go manual or electric?

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build
Thanks!
I have the Champion with the hose locations moved to the passenger side and steam port added. I got this before we were dealers for Entropy. Both are great units, and the Entropy is made in the USA and a nice product. Quote:
I liked it, and went with manual for simplicity. It was pretty straight forward to install and didn't take much modification at all. I would say the felts can fit a little better, but overall I am happy. The window will loosen up some over time, as it is tight in the felts right now. |
