Re: 1957 chevy family truck

Found a,little puddle of trans fluid under my truck so pulled the trans replace the seal to the converter, next day another puddle turns out its the pump seal. So took it in to get fixed only to find out ny trans is a th200. All this time thought it was a th350. $200 to get all the seals replaced on the th200or $700 for a th350

Re: 1957 chevy family truck

Other than the oil pan issue you had, do you have any issues driving up driveways, over speedbumps, ect? I have a rounded curb at the end of my driveway so I'm a little chicken to go too low.

I love the stance your truck has. I also put in a camaro clip and I'm debating how low I can go with a static drop. I plan on running a 4 link on air in the back and stock springs in the front for now. How much clearance do you have at the rocker panel?

Re: 1957 chevy family truck

my rockers are 4 inches off the ground I blew the compressor fuse a few weeks ago and drove it low the whole week everything was cool, had to drive slow over speed bumps and come in driveways at a angle. I raised the motor after the oil pan issue and every things been great. sometimes I cruise her and sometimes I drive her hard and fast, but one thing for sure is never get tired of driving her (p.s. please no one tell my wife I call her HER, she gets pretty jealous as it is LOL) thanx guys

Re: 1957 chevy family truck

What nightmare of a day, drove up to AVS in Fresno for a few air bag parts got lost, I've heard good things about avs but the guy wasn't very helpful and made it seem like I was bothering him(maybe they prefer phone orders) then on the way home dam brakes went out on the freeway I had to move my seat all the,way up just to get a little pedal I coasted it home on the back roads a 30 minute drive took hour to be continued

Re: 1957 chevy family truck

Sometimes it isn't your day...

Glad you made it home save and without damage to yourself or the truck!

Maybe good that you didn't go mad with that "salesman", now you had the state of mind to get you home save!!

Great build Lowrodderchev, killer look you have on your 57. I love the glass bowl look on a big window. I'm from Fresno, do you ever come up to Fresno for shows? We have a show coming up, the Valley Nationals, that's taking place Sat Oct 10th and a run on Sun Oct 11th if you're interested.
