Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Not nearly as much weight as when I'm hauling pallets of liquor, but...

Loaded up with 8 guitars that I made and one amp.
My last name is Kopp and my good friends own a brew pub and they made a beer named Kopptoberfest! in my honor!
So, once a year, I haul a pile of my guitars to the Catawba Island Brewing Company and we all drink Kopptoberfest and play guitars!
Cheers!

(yes. it is a little humbling to have a beer named after yourself)

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

How about Homer? He hauled this gigantic motorhome on his back for 61,000 miles. Now that's some serious hauling. I cut the motorhome off of him and hauled it to the dump. Almost 2 tons.
Hauling, did you say hauling?
Think about that for a second. Every single mile of that 61,000 miles of his life he hauled almost 2 tons. I don't think I ever saw one of these trucks with two tons of material in the bed.

EVERY MILE OF HIS LIFE.

Wow.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

This is as much a vintage shot as a hauling shot, but I put a different one on the vintage thread.
This is my father-in-law's hunting camp in the Chelan Mountains of WA (Potato Creek for you locals). This was 1984.
He and his buddies got caught by a surprise snow. He drove it out of the mountains pulling the camper w/o incident--a '69 GMC with only 2wd.

What are you using for rear springs? I like the stance and the ability to haul a payload

Had to deliver an engine stand, cherry picker, and welder to my brother-in-law. Good excuse to use the old C10.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

the k20 got a workout this weekend. Moved a shed to my yard. Used a tractor to load and move it around. Also picked up a load of landscape blocks. I didn't really want to make 2 trips. The blocks weighed in at 4,400lbs. handled it just fine.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Nice pics guys. Bud 10mpg doesn't sound too bad with that load.

Here's a pic from last fall of my trailer train with the K20 as the locomotive. Its nice to have low range and granny low for great granny low creeping. Heading to the woods to load up three trailers full of firewood. Even had a spare trailer. Almost a full cord in each one when we were done!

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Vintage Windmills, That is quite a wagon train. Not sure how legal that set up would be in most states but cool looking either way.
