Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I agree that taller tires are going to make the 308's even higher. Once you do the posi and change to at least 373's it should put some power to the ground.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Well lately there has been alot of talk about frenching in the side markers and how they look like goldfish eyes sticking off the sides. I went and found some van markers off one of the clunkers i shipped to the crusher, I had my detail department sand them down and polish the heck out of them I must say they came out pretty good. I have seen other members put them on and never thought much of the look but after all the polishing I said well let me put them on and I kind of like how they sit almost flush to the body..

I also changed my grant steering wheel and sold it to another member as I kind of wanted a stock looking steering wheel...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Side markers look great Al, what year did those come off of? As for the steering wheel i am gonna have to decide yet, not bad thou, also, your 3.73 with the tire size, which i believe is the same as mine, i run 1800ish rpm down the highway at 60mph, i do have a 700r4 thou.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I got a set of rally wheels that I am going to put on my truck for craps and giggles. I posted a want to trade ad so that I can trade two van rallies for two truck reallies as I want to have the staggered look with the rallies as well. I am not putting them on permanently just so that I have the option of swapping wheels anytime I feel like a different look...

Albert, looking good bro! Hey if you come across another set of those 7 inchers or want to get rid of those let me know, I was thinking about doing the same exact thing. I like the tucked look too! You had a set of truck rallies not too long ago didn't you?

I did have a truck set that was shipped west....[/QUOTE] I know, you change your mind all the time. You're always keeping the bucket fresh with different looks. That is ok though I like seeing what you come up with. Hey, be sure to post some pics when you get those 7's up front ok?

I am trying to achieve a stock look on the outside of the truck meaning more factory or era correct so when the truck is parked at a show or a cruise people would just think is a just a lowered c10...then when they hear it run or see under the hood they will be more shocked as nobody will ever suspect it just from the looks. of course this is just for craps and giggles as I get bored easily
