Lock Doc is selling oil lines in the classifieds, you might have a hard time finding those ferrules

Here is a little of us two steppin' backwards today. Everything came off so we could fix the paint issues associated with our fuel line leak. Then all back together with a little Loctite thread sealer version 565 for fuel lines. Fingers crossed we've got it licked.

Took out the oil pressure gauge, couldn't see an obvious problem. Luckily they're just going to warranty that...for a minute they wanted me to take out and return the entire cluster.

As an aside...I started taking apart the bucket seats that I got from another board member today for clean up. Here's the manufacturer date on the back...since I've been so consumed with build date stuff and looking for other build date clues under the dash, behind the cluster, on the rear axle and the transfer case...If my truck had it's original seats, this would have been another date to add to the stack.

Grille went back on for hood fitment...even if it's just temporary, couldn't help but take another pic.

...more wet sanding. Getting closer to spraying color.

Thanks Jim...that's a very nice thing to say. I am happy with how it's turning out and I'm very excited to see the rows getting shorter....but the lion's share of credit goes to Eric. He's the one who makes crooked things fit and ugly things pretty. I'm just happy that he let's me piddle on the mechanical bits.

...No I hear ya. I've got our list, that is getting shorter by the day, that when we get to the end of it we'll all celebrate and high five and call ourselves done...but of late, I've got a little secret secondary list that'll probably keep me perusing the parts boards long after we've put a period on the build thread.

Thanks...It's the same silver that you see on the interior/jams. I was going to do Cortez Silver since it's an actual 1970 GM color...but when we did a couple of test shots, the flake was just a little too big to me...and I realize that's the way the metallics were...but we looked at some others and ended up going with GM's contemporary truck/Tahoe silver...Sheer Silver Metallic.
