Re: '67 step-side replacement rear bumper

Ok, got it on today, but the sun was going down when I took the pics. I will take better ones and update tomorrow. It still needs to be adjusted a bit too. A couple of the frame holes need to be reamed out a bit to allow for a better fit.

I like your new thread name alot Kyle!

Later guys...

Thanks Jessie. I park it close to the wall to help keep punks from parking too close to me on the left side. At least I know I can save at least one side of my truck from dings! I am starting on getting things ready for my new engine. I hope to have it ready in the next month or so. I'll post pics once I start. Looks like I have been slacking on the progress and update pics, I'll do better.

Ack! Looks like the engine rebuild and transmission overhaul is going to come sooner than later.

I am loosing 2nd gear while driving as well as 4th. Yuck. Transmission overhaul is going to cost me 700 bucks. Oh well, I knew it was going to happen eventually.

Unless I can find one from someone I can trust as a new rebuild, I am not sure I want to spend the $$$ on another used transmission. I will keep my eyes open though.

I know, sorry, I have been slacking with the update pics.

Thank you!

Got a new present today. My temp guage has been working on-and-off lately (more off than on) so I did some checking this last weekend to see why it wasn't working correctly. I found out that I needed to replace the ignition switch in my truck so I went down to Desert Muscle Cars where they have a great selection of parts for our old trucks.

Found the switch and low and behold!!! I found a repop '67 ignition switch chrome bezel. They had just gotten them in. I had asked about the bezel awhile back and they said "nope, can't help ya. One year only part." I am finding out that alot of stuff on my stepper is one year only. That can be a bummer at times...

I feel like it's Christmas!!! Mine is in really bad shape and I have been looking to replace it. I will post pics tomorrow, I had forgotten my camera today.

Later,

D

Desert Muscle Cars is a good outfit. The guy gave me my money back on a re-pop cigar lighter assembly that burned up after I hooked it up. Don's Hot Rod Shop is right down the street, also friendly and knowledgeable.

I love Don's. Great place for engine and performace goodies. Desert Muscle has been pretty good to me too. I will keep shopping there.
