Re: 66 DiBella (means of the beautiful)
This is a 1961 apache bumper. I got it for free so I figure I would use it. I am going to shave it, narrow it, french the sides of the fenders for the bumper. Then I will weld the bumper to the fenders and the front support. Should look cool. I have never seen a bumper welded and smoothed to the front of the truck. I am sure it has been done, I just have never seen it. What do you think????

Re: 66 DiBella (means of the beautiful)
The reason I put the new brackets on the bumper is so I could still slide the front end off in one piece. If I would have used the front bolts there would be no way I could get the front end off due to all the different angles.

N...i....c...e the hood is really coming together. Kinda thought you we're narrowing the bumper, I haven't seen it done either. Look forward to it.

Re: 66 DiBella (means of the beautiful)
Ya I think the cool [art about the bumper is it will be welded to the bumpers and front of the truck so it should be a seemless transition from the bumper to the frenders. I guess we will have to see.

Re: 66 DiBella (means of the beautiful)
Did not get alot done last night. I made the brackets for the hood struts and got the brackets welded to the hood. I also got the struts put on and they work great. Also got the bumper smoothed and shaved. So here are the pics
