Re: Bad Idea

Local coffee shops weekly cruise in. They caught a quick pic of truck when we were inside and put it up on their instagram thingy.

Re: Bad Idea

This happened on average drive on a hot day while I was trying to see if I could get the engine to run hot. Ran perfect till I snapped another 2 rocker arms. That makes a total of 4 broke cheap ass rockers. I should've known anyhow.

Re: Bad Idea

I got funny nice neighbors. I pulled engine convinced I broke something in bottom end. Had it out in couple hours. Took valve covers off on engine stand and poof broken **** everywhere. Put stock stamped rockers set back on, some new gaskets, and put engine back in next day.

Re: Bad Idea

Had our yearly local big show around here this past weekend. Truck held its own and showed well.

Re: Bad Idea

Everything seems to work pretty well. I like it. People seem to like seeing it. There's little things here and there that go and need attention here and there but that's what I expect.
Oh I got a little mount for the eLevel controller off eBay. Once I get a pic of it illl post it.

Re: Bad Idea

So this is the eLevel mount/bracket thing I found on eBay. I got tired of it just flopping all over the place. I guess it'll stay here for now.

Re: Bad Idea

Sounds like a real pain. Why did you have to pull the engine to swap rockers?

Re: Bad Idea

Because I was convinced the noise it made was the bottom end coming apart. So ya I learned the hard way. Took valve covers off when it was on engine stand.

Re: Bad Idea

Small update.
Had to replace steering box. Just started to dart all of the sudden with about a fist width of play in either direction on the steering wheel. Tried to adjust it out of the box but just made it real tight and lost return to center. Got a new (reman) box and everything seems to be ok now.

It looks different every angle, every different shade of light, and when you think you understand it....it changes again.
