Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

bought some body filler (the better cheap crap from autozone) so i can start doing the body work on my replacement fender, bought a few more tools to and stuff to use to work on it with, bought some electrical stuff, bought my push starter button, drilled the mounting hole and installed it, just need to wire it up. i decided to go with the blue cover instead of the red or clear that it came with, i just wish it lit up, but oh well what do you expect for $30 . i also started doing some more wiring repair under the dash, should have done that when it was out because it would have been alot less hassle, oh well live and learn haha. i also added the headlight and wiper switch connectors back on (sorry no pics of that) as i decided to run the stock switches again.

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

got some more fittings and line for the rear bags, relocated the ignition switch to the inside of my center console, extended the wiring for the ignition and wired up the starter button. all wiring is done under dash for now except for the gauges which i can do from the front of the dash where the cluster goes. also took a pic of my mirror cover just because

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

finished grinding down the plate that i cut out to box my lower arms in with, and picked this up for $10 to replace the one in my burb, and yes i know it is for a 67-68 gmc and it is in better shape than mine minus the part where the hood pin thing goes in the center but i will remove that from mine and install it on that one, will probably also gut the handle and move it over or use part of the one from the one it is replacing so that it is not offset

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

finished installing the pb panhard bar, just need to adjust it. also removed the rear lower bag mount and cut out the cross bar that i had put in it that wasnt strong enough and was bent. will be replacing that with some dom tubing.

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread

lol. if the suspension is aired up it isnt a problem, but this time it was because my dads little compressor took a dump, and it was sitting on the ground. good thing i have no floor in the back haha. but still was a pain in the a$$, and took forever. had to use 2 bottle jacks and some 2x4's just to get it high enough to get the floor jack under it from the side as i couldnt get to the back of it either.
