Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
I was noticing yesterday my full length headers are going to be a little low for my truck as it is now.. I might just have to go PB cross member and might as well do arms, and bags, and frame supports, .. while I have the cab off, right? then run my exhaust through the frame and just do it right.
My plan is to fire my BB on the Magnaflows I have now then move them over to my GMC and go with something different for the 68. We'll see how it pans out but I think I might have to go to a midlength on my BB. you said you're were Chevelle headers, correct?

My headers are Hedman Elite 68618. They are mid-length headers for a 70 Chevelle. They fit perfect with my 68-71 frame mounts but I did have to trim the frame a little on the passenger side. I knew I wanted to eventually bag this truck so that's why I went with the mid-lengths from the start. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Ok Ok I can't keep a secret lol, it is a Dropmember but not for the front. I ordered a Mild Rear Dropmember. I really liked the fact that I only have to raise the bed floor 5 inches to cover the notch. This way my bed floor will still have a stock look to it just a little raised.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Thanks Mike, I have been looking for something between mildly bagged with a c-notch and a huge step notch. Then porterbuilt came out with this mild kit and I was sold.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Got my Slosh Tubz in the other day. Really nice quality, thanks Mike. It's funny when I brought the giant box in the house my Fiance was like "Did you buy a Human" I was like no they are just my Slosh Tubz. She asked me what they were, I told her my new inner fenders. She was like what is that, I told her nevermind its parts for my truck Some Pics.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Nice work I am kind of wishing I had a short bed but I will take the long bed over dealing with rust. I am thinking about running my exhaust through the cross member too, did you have to reinforce it after you cut the holes? I am thinking about 5” holes and using 2.5” exhaust out the back.
