Re: Project: Turbo 250

I got some chrome bushings and it helped on the belt contact with the alternator. I finally got all the stuff I need to media blast the body... now I can get that done and shoot it bc/cc. IF LKQ would ever quit putting me on hold till I have to get back to work so I cant order the bc/cc I would get this thing painted!! Nothing really picture worthy right now.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Regards to all, I live in Argentina and here in my country all chevy trucks were equipped with the 250 engine with 6 cylinders in line, is a very popular engine. Longbed 67, my question is: who has the turbocharger features that you have placed on that engine?. The set of reconstruction, have different characteristics to place the turbocharger?. Pistons, camshaft, cylinder head, intake valves, exhaust valves, it is the standard? . I hope my questions are understood, I use the online translator to communicate with you. Thank you very much and see you soon!

Pistons I got from my local engine builder. The head work, intake valves, exhaust valves are all bigger I got from www.12bolt.com Tom there is very helpful. I also got the turbo camshaft from him. He also carries the rockers studs, excreta. The manifold I got from DEI (Design Engineering Inc) but you may be able to get the SPA turbo manifold cheaper down there.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Well since I have been trying to order paint from the closest ppg dealer to myself for better part of 3 weeks now and the are always just too busy to help me... I told them to kiss my a$$ when they asked if i could call back in a couple hours and will be placing my order at the place where i used to buy before I moved and will be picking up all the supplies this coming Friday. You all will get to see the color when I shoot it on the truck!

Re: Project: Turbo 250

I am going to shoot the firewall and radiator support, and the interior of the cab (keeping that the stock color) so I can start getting things wired and get this beast running! After that it is pretty much cake walk from there.

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Finished flushing the firewall and sprayed the bedliner with the insulating particles in turned out alright except under the driver side seat where I accidentally spilled some out of the gun... Oh well no one will ever see it anyway...

Re: Project: Turbo 250

Here are a couple photos of what I worked on today.... The pictures really dont give the color justice... when the light hits it the color really has depth with the amount of metallic and pearl in it. Starting the body work on the cab tomorrow!
