The blocks were in the truck when it was bought....Taking them out and cutting them down is one of the First things to get done....

What are you using to paint the frame and suspention components? and what did you do for prep? I am getting ready to starting painting my frame and front suspention.

Quick update:

Bed has been welded and ALOT of work done to make her pretty. OL_SKOOL put some serious effort into her so far. I will post pics soon.

Rear-end, has been removed, inspected, cleaned thouroughly, lubed, new seal, new filler plug, primed and painted and re-installed. Halfed the lowering blocks and cut the springs for now. She's sitting just about on the frame.

The Edelbrock 1405 has been completely rebuilt and new floats installed. One was bad and the inside of the carb was nasty when pulled apart, which would explain having to feather the gas pedal. The weather has been pretty ****ty here in the NW so progress has been a little slow on the motor and wiring.

The good: Carb rebuilt and motor is running pretty strong considering it sat for 4 years. The plans for the weekend are to install the new HEI dist and do a complete tune up on the motor.
