Re: Project 7deuce
I bought the fans off e bay awhile ago so not much help there.. As far as the shroud I just built it out of cardboard and transferred it over to metal.. Two tabs up top where the original fan shroud bolted to and to more bolts welded down below on the core support.. I just received the hayden fan controller from summit and should have it in this week sometime.. Also the nuts are welded to the backside of the shroud to enable the fans to bolt on.. MMMMMMM fans are 12 inch units...

Awesome ride. Love the flip forward hood.
We put the motor in mine last week. Still need some final touch ups before I start her up. We still have a long way to go before she gets done. |

Re: Project 7deuce
Heres the start of my trans crossmember... started with 2" tube and an old stock crossmember... I cut the bolt hole locations out of the stock crossmember and made a nice little pad to weld them to the tube..

Re: Project 7deuce
Started building the exhaust... Anyone who has tried to keep the pipes up above the frame rails while running a big block knows how hard this was... My patroit headers are diffrent on both sides so this took some trial and error.. Once I got the pipe cut right and welded back together and smoothed out I painted it with some bar b q paint... I hope the paint holds up to the heat.. Also the ends of the pipe were flared out so the next section of pipe will slip into it.. Bte I tried to have the exhaust shop down the street bend up my drivers side and they told me I was nuts and to just let the exhaust hang below the frame cuase it was not gonna work...

Re: Project 7deuce
When I replaced my bedside it had the inner steak pockets cut off... It bugged the hell out of me so I went ahead and cut off the rest of them.. Also take a look at my hacked inner bedsides from trying to get the wheels and tires up as far as I could... Stay tuned thats gonna get fixed...

Re: Project 7deuce
Finally welded in the inner bed side patch panels.. I had cut the section out to give me room to get the dents out of the outter bed side so I would have to use less filler... More work this way but it turned out better..

Re: Project 7deuce
This mod I stole from n2billet(thanks kieth)... I had some inner fenders that I was not gonna use sooooo out came the cut off wheels.. I should have moved the inner tub up higher but I test fitted the 20"s to make sure they would fit first... This is where I am at right now... I am gonna remove the bed and finish up the welding on these today hopefully..
