Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
Kyle at LBR got me a great price on a tru trac system. I couldn't pass it up. I got it all installed, I plan to paint the water pump and power steering pump orange to match the block.
Ignore the ugly firewall. That is next on my list. |

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
Does anyone know if this power steering reservoir will work with an ls engine? It says for BBC and SBC but i don't see why it wouldnt work.

Well that explains why he had the 507 paint. Have you installed it yet?

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
Wow, that's a nice looking column! Has it shortened any? Are you going to run two or three joints in the steering shaft? I would rather have a factory looking column like yours but don't want to have 3 joints in my steering shaft.

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
Thanks Keith. It hasn't been shortened or anything. I'm not sure about the joints yet, I havent even looked into it. I am hoping to get by with 2 joints if possible. I suppose I should probably start looking into that and seeing what other guys have done.

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
No, it's still in the crate. I took it out so I could 'ooh & ahh' over it and put it back in. My 68 is a LONG way off. I keep getting other projects and Walter gets pushed back. I hope to finally get started this fall.

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
If you have rack notches in your frame, you should be ok with 2 joints. It's the version 7 with the lowered rack that drives 3 joints, typically. Looking good!

Re: '69 SWB | Zoie Jane
I've got the notches so I should be good to go. Thank you for the tip! If I hurry up and get my firewall finished I could set the cab back on the frame and get the steering hooked up. Then I can sit in my truck and pretend I'm driving it
