I'm becoming very pleased with how my body work is turning out. I'm wet sanding all my primer, seal some areas and my deadline is the 21st to begin painting.

Are you sealing now? If so you will need to sand that too. I usually spray sealer an hr. before color and so need to sand.

The most important thing is to just follow the directions on the product. Some vary but painting is no place for home chemistry. They do sometimes list spray pressures low to pass VOC laws.

Re: Shucks First Build

One more picture before it gets painted. Test fit to Make sure the bed and fenders fit between the new tires and wheels. My body work and sanding job is done, finally! I have everything ready to go, so after work the next couple days I will shoot the truck on Sunday. Next time you see it it'll be blue!

Very nice ,That's a lot of painting at one time you must have a tired arm. But then when I was your age I was painting BIG trucks. Sprayed 6 gallons one day.

Re: Shucks First Build

Truck is turning out very nice! The bed wood finish works perfect with the blue on the truck.

What are your plans for the interior?

Thanks! As for the interior I have many plans but the bank account can't really afford it now. Wanting new everything basically... from gauges to a reupholstered seat. but for now it has new door panels, a seat cover and a dash cover will settle for now. I can at least drive the truck and have a driving project!

Thanks everyone else, means a lot!
