Its easy to do doughnuts right now....sheet of ice in the entire county. Just blip the throttle and it changes direction. I feel like Tanner Foust , but better looking and in a C10 drift truck lol

I tried to drive it home last night, but with the alignment off, the ice covered roads and the lack of anything heavy in the bed it was a fish tailing, rut following nightmare. Parked it back at work and drove the 05 crew 2x lowrider with a ton of junk in the bed for better weight on the slick stuff. Came in this morning to a rt rear corner deflated....leak. Need to soap the fittings at both ends and see what's going on. Love the snow, but now excited to start driving this thing! Trying to get to Portland Sunday for the meet and greet. The trucks done, but the roads are no bueno.

Your truck looks AWESOME! I love the restored/slammed look, and the fact that you stayed with the steel wheels and dog dish caps.
After reading about how cold it is where you're at and how fast you're getting this thing done, I'm blown away. Whereabouts in Oregon are you located? A buddy of mine was raised in Baker, and he used to tell me how brutally cold it was there in the winter.

Thanks chevyrestoguy. I'm in Eugene area, but work out in the county in Junction City. It had been -10 during the suspension fest, sometimes warming to 20. When you pull a coach in, you are chipping ice off in the stall and those cubes stay for hours. I work at Guaranty Chevrolet and behind those curtains is our World famous auto and rv body shop. We have some light duty radiant heaters, but it gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer without any cross flow ventalation. We call it our redneck sweat shop we focus on collision repair on both autos and rvs , not doing any completes and we have an amazing crew of guys that are pure craftsman in the industry. I'm the shop foreman and production guy, so I can't just blow apart a personal vehicle and leave it for days. Each task or job on any of my builds gets done in a night after work or on a weekend and must be driveable to get it out of the shop to keep working. I took Monday and Tuesday of last week off knowing the snow was comming and the sub freezing temp would halt most production and customers comming for repairs. We can't move trailers and 5th wheels with a fork lift and the highline coaches are too much risk moving them around when its slick. I used one of the empty bays for our lead body man, but prommised I would have it done Tuesday.

I installed some CPP front shock relocators this morning and chased an air leak for a couple hours.can't seem to hear it with a fuel line to my ear or get it to bubble with soap solution. Swapped out a used coolant gauge ( fried the og one a month ago with the under hood harness fire) and swapped the fuel gauge. Coolant gauge works again, fuel gauge still ony goes to half. I'm going to pull the sender and bend the arm when I have the seat out to swap it. Grabbed some 3/16 studs to screw into the floor and mount the new style 99 seat today then drove a tank of fuel through it on a suspension, brake shake down. The brakes feel awesome on the second pump. I picked up a 2lb residual valve and am going to install it one night after work next week. Other than the annoying rt rear that looses pressure, the air ride seems nice. It was really bouncy before the front shock relocators, now I just need to play around with the angle on the rears. Headed out tommorow for the NW meet up and should put about 300+ miles on it.

Thanks guys! My wife works 2 hrs later than I do so it affords me some time to either tinker on a project or clean the house.
Here's the ebay kit I bought. Comes in 5 or 6 lug, but was missing the cables that attatch the park brake caliper cable to the yoke. http://www.ebay.com/itm/63-70-chevy-...0ed179&vxp=mtr . . Overall good kit. Need to install a residual valve to keep some rear caliper pressure steady. Could just be the master I'm using or just an inherent issue. 1st pump feels like drum brakes, 2nd pump stops ona dime and wish you had lap belts

Found the exhaust leak....the collector flanges need the 3 lock nuts to hold them together! Grabbed some nuts at the parts store and back in biz. I have been having a "I think my starter is going out" issue where it clicks, sounds like the bendix engages but doesn't turn. Picked up a mini starter and went to install it.....found the main wire loose. Pulled the nuts and ran some external locking rings under the nuts and put it all back together. It actually seems to crank faster and start up better!
Wed night I'm going to pull the fan spacer and install a fan clutch and my OG metal fan shroud I picked up. Also found a flexsteele leather that I'm thinking of having stiched up in some 50s-60s pleats for the 99 silverado seat. Should be pretty cozy with the heated seat grids I scored off fleabay .
