If you mean runs in the paint, you can buy a plane at a paint store to shave them.

thank you brother, but the tiger stripes due to lack of experience is the problem. I actually got away without any runs....poor coverage in some spots too. I got to excited and should have pushed it out to check everything before clearing. live and learn

Bummer! The way to avoid that is to spray one orientation (say, left to right) and then spray cross-ways to that, after changing the fan on the gun. Looks like you also didn't have enough overlap. It just takes practice. I first painted one of my cars in the mid-'70s.

Re: show us your driveway pics

I apologize for it not being a 67-72 C10, but this thread is epic and I just took some pics in the driveway on Saturday so I wanted to get involved. My vehicles live in the garage, while my wife is sweet enough to know her car belongs in the driveway haha.

Nice!! What are the details on your SS? I had a red '01 SS M6 that I've always regretted letting go of.

Thanks Texas and Weq92f! It is a 2002 SS A4 [my daily driver], AR Headers, SLP Intake, Borla ORY, Tune, C6 Z06 wheels, and a couple of other cheap mods. Dyno'd at 338 hp to the wheels and 340 tq a few years ago. 84k miles. Before that I had a 99 Z28 so I have been daily driving a pewter F-Body for about a decade now. Excellent cars if you can overlook some things. Between the 2 cars, the only real repairs besides minor maintenance stuff has been a AC compressor, alternator, window motor, and a fuel pump. Here is a driveway pic of it and another with the 84 MCSS I sold last year after owning for 12 years.

Agreed! There's one of these tri-five trucks with a patina about half a mile from me. It's done nothing but sit there in the 15+ years I have lived here. Maybe I'll take a pic of it when I think nobody is looking. There are many trucks I could post in the "Trucks in the Wild" thread, but I don't want to tread on the privacy of the owners.

Thanks guys! The patina look has grown on me lately, but I'm a sucker for a nice wet looking paint job. You should save it!
