Just ordered my Innovate LC2 controller/gauge/O2 wideband kit. The ad says LC1, but the seller confirms that they are all LC2 now.

Amazon.com: Innovate Motorsports 3796 DB RED... Amazon.com: Innovate Motorsports 3796 DB RED...

Nice work on the truck Brad! I saw it at Good guys on Sunday but didn't see you by it. At least the oil pump issue didn't wreck anything.

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

Just been driving it all summer. Still needs a better tune and turbo hasn't been installed, but I still enjoy the crap out of it. I should still do it eventually, timing is just off now. Buying a house to flip to get more funds, so I need a truck right now... I'll update as priorities return to the hotrod side.

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

Brad, do you have the engine pushed all the way back on the Dirty Dingo brackets? I don't have my cab on yet so I'm not sure if I push it [engine] all the way back, that I'll have room up against the firewall? I compared this pick with some of yours and I can tell I'm way forward from where your are. I also need to make sure that I have room for the radiator, fans etc out front. I think I'll be OK if I go all the way back?? What do you think? If you're wondering, those are 98-02 F-Body exhaust manifolds. Had to do a little mod on that one.

Mike

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

I have mine very near the true zero position, but it fit the engine bay all the way forward or all the way back. The determining factor for me was that I didn't want to modify the stock driveshaft. The Ford Aerostar fans cleared with ease.

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

Thanks Sir!! Regardless, I'll have to shorten the driveshaft. I think I'll push it all the way back. Mike

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

Broke the lense to one of my vintage fogs changing the bulb on Sunday. I was so heartbroken I had to go take a nap. Found some new old stock similar ones... We'll see when they get here. Snif...

Sounds like you got the top end figured out. What ever happened with the fog lights?

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

bnoon, glad updated so it popped up this thread. Read the whole thing. Really like the look of the green with white and it looks like the paint cleaned up well. Those era correct foglights were perfect, especially yellow with the sour apple paint. I hope that the replacement ones you found look as good. Good luck with the house flip, etc. LT7A

Subscribed! Cant wait to see how this progresses. Our trucks aren't too terribly different (or, wont be, when the snow finally stays away long enough for me to get my swap going.)

Re: Project Mr. Green Jeans (now 5.3 LS turbo build!)

Having trouble with the LS9 cam swap (going back to the LS9 cam from a Summit copy of the GM Hot Cam). 5/16" steel rod won't hold the dang lifters up. Time for some small magnets. :-(
