Thanks buddy. They are US Wheels Baby Moons. I had the faces powder coated Ferrari Red. They are 15x8 +4.25" backspacing. I might be looking into a wheel change. Not sure. Gotta see when I get her on the ground.

Re: Dirty Dianah (No)... Bagged 72 Stepside/LSx/T56
It depends on if you go with chrome or painted grille trim. you should match chrome with chrome or painted with roll pan. Either way looks good though!

Re: Dirty Dianah (No)... Bagged 72 Stepside/LSx/T56
The glove box from my original cab was kept and stripped of all paint.
This was to go with my theme of silver and black interior with the brushed/bare metal accents. Walter and his son, Brandon surprised me with an EGA (Eagle, Globe and Anchor) as a memento for my military service in the United States Marine Corps. How fitting, as it goes with my grenade, and my 502MS USMC vanity tag. Thanks guys!

Re: Dirty Dianah (No)... Bagged 72 Stepside/LSx/T56
SO,
Funny story. Ive read your build 3-4 times as its progressed. Even chimed in once. But as it goes at work today noticed an update and checked in on ya. Youre doing a killer job btw. When I got home I decided it was time to read your ENTIRE threat start to finish to check out every detail. I thought it would be cool to listen to old Michael singing Dirty Diana while I was reading. Well, hitting replay about 100 times and 3 hours later I know every word to DD and concluded youre doing an awesome job on the build. Keep up the good work and great ideas. Keeps guys like me going!

Haha. That is awesome! I am thinking of something with that song for later use. Driving home last night, I was even contemplating new vanity tags. "Dozen" is one. "Dirty" is another. And then I thought one even simpler. "No" or "N O". Idk. We will see. Dozen = 6 liter and 6 speed. 6+6. Dirty = of course for Dianah No = goes for many things but when he says no in that song. Thanks for following along. I definitely want to help others and show love for what we do. I have to thank Walt for a great friendship and fab work. We have been putting in major hours on this build....and everything is being done right...stuff not even documented here because it would be boring. But it adds up. Looking forward to getting her on the road. Posted via Mobile Device

Hey Leon nice build! If it's not too much trouble could you get some better pics of your hydro clutch setup? Like where you mounted your master cyl and your pivot point on clutch pedal arm... Whenever! Still got lots of other things to wrap up just could use your professional opinion

Re: Dirty Dianah (No)... Bagged 72 Stepside/LSx/T56
I noticed the Cowl hood immediately, which brand is it? The part looks like its stamped really nice, the front of it follows the contours of the fenders really well.
I have some Ideas for you about the paint/trim scheme that I think you will really like, next time we talk I will tell you about it. |

Looking good! I like the hood. I like the chrome bumper myself. Looks awed one either way though!

Awesome Leon!
I was looking at these pics and 2 months ago, both of our trucks were running the flat black, with the 72 chrome billet grilles and red wheels. Of course yours is a stepside and now a manual, but they are so closely similar trucks. Add in the fact you're a Marine as well?? It's just awesome. |
