Cajun-
Lets see the back of the door panels. What at you using for fastners? I might try to make my own door panels. Nothing too crazy. I like how yours turned out. Marc |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I finally got the vent windows rebuilt. Took alot of work and money, but they function and should seal.
I put all the glass in the doors this past sunday, got everything in then accidentally broke the passengers windows. So i'll have to order another one and switch it out. I need to cut my one piece window inner window frames to accept the vent window, repaint them, install...then all I have to do is attach the bottom of the window track on the b pillar side of the door some how and the windows will be done and working. anyways, pic of the window in all its glory before I broke it... |

Is the rear of the headliner held in with the stock metal strip screwed to the cab?

I just bought a NIB metal rib from classis parts or something like them. Seems like high quality.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
Cajun is right.
I plan on doing something simular but I am using glass setters tape. Which is this black waxy type tape that is about 1 1/4" wide and should do the same things as the strip caulk. My fenders will be the last thing to go on, so I'm yet to see if it works good or not. |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
Interesting. My dad has a 55 F(*d and it looks great but after assembly I noticed the fender welting and wished there was a better solution. I really like this idea of not seeing the welting.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
strip caulk never dries.
I painted everything apart, everything. you can still move stuff to align it, but I aligned everything in primer(no welting or caulk) and drilled 1/8 inch holes so when I reassembled I had little to no alignment needed. my fenders dont squeak or move at all. so I'll deff. do this again. |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
its one made for these trucks to fit in the stock core support. You just tell them what engine you want to run.
and for pricing, just holler at me when your ready. With the economy, prices really fluctuate. |
