Re: Project Beatrix
No problem at all. Hopefully I will see my new motor mounts from Nate soon and have my driveline set up shortly after. If you have any additional questions feel free to ask.

Re: Project Beatrix
Looking good Brandon. So did you need to modify anything else on the inner fenders besides just using ratchet straps to hold them into place?

I have two issues. First is the stress on the wheel wells and the possibility of them cracking after some road time, and the second is cutting up the edge of my 67 hood. After posting on Kyles build thread and confirming these 2 issues, they may be going back to Curt. We will see how this plays out i guess.

Re: Project Beatrix
Don't rush into them. I am looking into having these done in either plastic or stamped in steel. I will have more details in a week or so.

Re: Project Beatrix
No problem, I don't need them anytime soon so I wouldn't be ordering for a while anyway!

Re: Project Beatrix
Finally got some more done on the truck. Had a 3" 2 piece shaft made that turned out really nice. Also got some of the firewall shaved and started working on getting the outer rockers installed.

Also got the new motor mounts from Nate and they dropped the engine down about an inch and a half. so i am hoping my intake will clear the stock hood now!

Re: Project Beatrix
Drive line looks incredible Brandon! It's a shame to cover all that hard work up....
You don't have a picture like that for a one piece drive shaft do you? I feel like my pinion angle may be off a little in my truck. Very nice work on the cab too. Keep it up bro |

As for a 1 piece shaft, they are way simpler. The angles should be equal and opposite. Example: 2 down at the trans, 2 up at the pinion. A degree of angle at minimum in a 1 piece and try to not exceed 3 degrees. Just text me if you need more info.

Re: Project Beatrix
Smoothing theses firewalls is a pile of work but it's definitely worth the effort. Yours is looking great!

The transmission actually fits to my amazement. I thought for sure I would have to clearance the opening at the rear quite a bit for the tailshaft but I will only make a little room for piece of mind. As for the wheel wells, the driver side actually fit pretty good. I still had to put a little force on them with straps but nowhere near as much as the passenger side. Now I have to figure out how to make these twins fit!!!! Slowly but surely it is starting to look like a truck again. Plan this week is to continue with the metal work and make a bracket for my air tank and compressors.

Re: Project Beatrix
Thanks Mike
Same here Keith, I was a little nervous when I started setting the cab down but it actually fits like it was meant to be there!

Here are a few more pictures of the truck currently. Working on raising the bed floor, working on the body and building manifolds for the turbos.
