Re: Project Screamer - '72 GMC K2500 + DD 4-53T
Very nice and clean. Did you paint it all together or apart?
Ps: I think your fan belt is a bit loose.

I left the belt loose because I can’t set the vertical height of the fan until I have the engine in the truck and the fan shroud installed. |

Re: Project Screamer - '72 GMC K2500 + DD 4-53T
Painted!
The old Jimmy is painted. I drove down to Denver yesterday and picked him up. The paint job is GORGEOUS! I don't think he looked this good when new. I had the bottom of the cab coated with Lizard Skin to help mitigate the noise from the engine and transmission. I used Lizard Skin on the bottom of my UNIMOG cab. It made a big difference. He's going to sit on the trailer for a while. I'm still working on the chassis and drive train. |

Re: Project Screamer - '72 GMC K2500 + DD 4-53T
Any chance you're going to make a custom SPID sticker for the truck? Make up your own RPO codes for the detroit and other custom bits? It'd be interesting to see GM truck aficionados try to make sense of that one!

Re: Project Screamer - '72 GMC K2500 + DD 4-53T
I have considered making my own SPID sticker. I have the correct option code for the 4-53T from the 1979 C-70 that I pulled it from. I’ll have to create my own code for the Fuller transmission since it wasn’t offered. I won’t do anything until the truck is back on the road.

The engine has landed!
I finished the brake and fuel tubing and dropped the engine into position in the chassis. It sure looks good. |

Any updates? I've been pretty excited about this build, and want to see it continue.
