Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

We just got home from a 10,000 mile trip from Seattle Washington area to Tampa Florida taking the back roads. We went from the high in Seattle $5.75 to the low of $2.44 in Chattanooga Tennessee. The average we had seen was around $3.40.
We traveled through 27 states.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

Yeah here in northern CO I started to see 2.98 at certain gas stations. I have also seen some stations in town it is 3.45. I still dont know how gas stations justify this obvious price gouging.

Still holding steady at $5. Stations here don't need to price gouge, the state does it for them.

Prices here vary as much as 1.70 per gallon in about a 10 mile radius--any where from 4.50 to 6.20 for mid-grade

If I’m not mistaken, there are two refineries supplying CA with the bespoke formula mandated by the state government. Looks like that may soon be down to one. Good luck.

Re: Gas Prices - Part 2

If you ever get bored and want to read about oil and the difference between sweet and sour oil it is eye opening on why USA still imports oil and why most of what is produced here in the states is exported.
This youtube is pretty informative as well.

I read today Cali has signed up new regulation on cleaner gas to the tune of 65 cents per gallon.

$3.25 for regular, and $4.10 for premium on the NY/PA border. Diesel is $3.75. Still way too high..
