Just got my '72 Cheyenne last Thursday from it's previous owner in Marina del Rey, California. I love all classic American trucks but the 67-72 GM trucks are the pinacle in my opinion.
Gorgeous, makes me miss my old truck (sig) white/blue/white/blue lwb highlander

How much did it run to recover those seats if you don't mind me asking? I'll be doing the same to some truck seats soon hopefully.
$1200 from raw metal to what you see. the fabric is vinyl. I just had seats bolted down when I initially took the truck to him and he did the rest. It took about 2 1/2 weeks. I got his number if you need it.

7D2, it's a good looking truck. Did you have to put spacers on yours? I think mine are 8.5's and the rearend is obviously a little more narrow than the front so the rear wheels tuck in pretty good. I wish they would sit flush. I've got 255/35/20's all the way around. They're too low profile. And Discount Tire said I couldn't fit 275's on mine so maybe they're just 8's.
here are some better pics of the wheels. I believe they are 20x8.5. the wheels are eagle alloys.

Painted hood and and center stripes. And I don't think I ever posted a pic of exhaust since installed.

Looks can be deceiving, one of the reasons I paid waaaay too much for this thing. It needs a floor pan, seats, new bushings throughout, body work, paint, leaking cab ( too many leaks to mention ). 350 motor runs good and was recently rebuilt so hopefully I wont have any major problems with it any time soon. But I bought the truck as a daily driver and a project for my 17 yr old son and me. There should be a lot of father son bonding on this one !!!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

There are some really great trucks on here. I am new to this forum and to Chev's having just bought my first one. I am from Durban in South Africa so there are very few around. I had always wanted one so when my car was totalled after just being repaired I figured I needed something stronger to drive and found the Chev below in a town about 400 miles away. I flew up took one look at it and bought it then drove it home the same day. It had no working speedo or fuel guage and having no idea what sort of milage it got I stopped at every gas station on the way. Got back without a problem at all but the next morning I burnt out the starter motor trying to get it started.

I will try to get it looking as good as possible while using it as my daily car.

It is supposedly a 67 Right hand drive with the extended cab and a 327 V8 with an ato box. That is about all I know.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

This will be my son's project in a few years. We have a 4.8 ls engine a bunch of sheet metal parts set a side for now. It is not much to look at now but maybe one day it will be nice.
