I'd like to think it's my writing, but I know it's just the crew cab.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Hey Drew, how are the clearance issues gonna be behind that gauge cluster?
Just throwin' it out there, what about using another glove box door, notching it to clear the steering column, and having a hidden cluster on the left side? you could make it removeable.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Remarkably it fits just fine on the glove box side. I just want it as backup and for the message center that tells me tons of info on whats going on with the truck. I really want to see the factory 1972 cluster for looks sake.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I am amazed at the quality of work you do, as well as how versatile you are with your skills, and how motivated you are! The quality of fabrication skills you have exibited are remarkable. It is a rare combination for someone to be as gifted as you are with paint/body, metal fabrication, mechanical skills, and carpentry to boot! I always thought I was a jack of all trades, but you put me to shame my friend. BTW: I love your truck too.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I am making a push to go to the Grand Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, TN in 3 weeks - April 14th. I won't have even started the interior, but I figure its still worth looking at. I'll need at least a week of driving it to make sure I'm comfortable with a 6 hour trip, so that means a lot of loose ends to tie up quickly. Does anyone think they could make it??? I'd be up for thanking my fans in person.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
My mirror company made up my laminated glass for me for $40. I used the factory window felt gasket and silicon-ed them also.

Too bad you are not closer, I could bring my 4x4 crew cab and tell them that they were a pair that was factory made.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
THAT would totally confuse the non-truck guys! By the way, my gramps had one just like that. Only it was red. And a Ford. And a rare 3 door..

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I've been able to clean up the wiring a little and mount both fuse panels.
I also had a talk with the upholstery guy for the headliner and I'll be ordering my material tomorrow.
