Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I love your truck! It took me almost a week to read your build. I have wanted to build a 69 for a long time but now I want it to be a 4 door crew cab. I also want 4WD and a diesel for over the top power and fuel economy. My 2012 1 ton Chevy work truck has the 6.0L in it. It has ok power and gets 10 mpg. I want to find a cheaper 2500 or 3500 4wd truck with a Duramax and do just like you did and put the older 69 cab and bed on the modern chassis. Now to gather parts! Oh yea I also want to do mine as a to be a little different!

I saw your truck driving across the Kroger parking lot today. I was hoping to see your beautiful truck in person and meet you, but couldn't catch up with you. Maybe some other time.

Wow, your house is amazing. I know we shouldn't second-guess our gifts, but I really do wish I was half the craftsman you are.

WOW, we just hit 500,000 views!

Sorry I have no news to report other than a new steering shaft to replace the one I had made earlier with a weak joint that was causing some slop in the steering wheel.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

hello Drew and Renshaw family. I have browsed through this entire thread, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the truck. I think your home is beautiful. It's very nice to see everything that has gone on throughout the course of this build over the last couple of years. I am excited to get started on my truck. My kids are pretty young, but very excited about helping. My 5 yr old son said we "were going to build our truck, because I am going to help you, Right Daddy?" as we were looking through a parts catalog. I just wanted you to know I appreciate you letting me have a glimpse into your life and the amazing transformation of your super sweet truck.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

it's hilarious that my co-worker and I were just talking today about making my 40 year old truck into the shops "tow"- truck to bring back the cars we put wheels on such as beemers and range rovers I couldn't stop smiling about our old vehicles pulling nearly brand new cars the sight of this is perfect

Sorry I didn't even think about my fans. I was so concerned about the tow and getting back in daylight that I didn't even consider I was driving through towns that had members that knew me.

Drew, how's the IPAD working while you drive? I like your idea and am trying to think of something to add to my 76 to try to get a modern feel.

The iPad is great for navigation and Pandora (music). Has to be a 3G with a data plan. You can get Data plans month to month and not have to sign up for 2 years.

It's been a long while, but--- It's Saturday night picture time!

Barn/house is coming along nicely.

A night time shot, guess the location-

A view of the 80 acre lake that the barn overlooks.

Love the barn/house, that’s what I’m wanting to do when I finally buy land and how ironic that you build them as well as a crew cab. Figured the thread could use a bump to hopefully get some fresh eyes on your build.

Thanks, I had the rear end jacked up though. Need to take my good camera and redo them.
