Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

My Dad bought this truck a few years back. Sadly he only owned it for about a year then sold it before i could steal it from him lol. It was a frame off, very fast & clean. Don't know all the specs on it, but the paint is a Ford pearl white. Damn i miss this truck. The second pic i lowered it more and added clear side and taillights.

This is my brother's 78 GMC Heavy Half. This was my first truck, and I sold it to him about 10 years ago. I wish I still had it!!!

Here is all the specs and best ET on the truck: http://www.bassettracing.cz28.com/photo2.html

Also here are a few more pics. We had to build some lift bars to keep from wrapping the leafs up in the rear. We also built a billet aluminum radiator support so we could take the front clip off the easily and still leave everything intact. It is a blast to have a truck that will outrun a lot of Mustangs and Camaros at the track.

Hey 75,
are those intro vista's.They look good.Ae you running a 10" in the rear with about a 4" back spacing. What size are your tires front and rear.I have 15x10 with 4" back spacing.they fit nice the dont stick in too much as i have seen with other 10' wheels.I was just curious because it seems as if your wheels fit real good also.If you decide on 20"s do you think you would sell the 18"s.Dont mean to bother you at work you can respond later if youd like. Thanks greg

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds

Yeah, that would be cool. looking to have it at least on the road for the summer, then back in the shop for more next winter. First trip out will be around the time the "Our Days" parade and car show happen in La Center June I think. By then it should be presentable. Paint and bodywork will be the last thing to do over the next winter.
