I like any full size blazer. I’m building a 72 k5 for my wife (I haven’t posted about it yet). I have a ton of memories from my childhood in blazers and I think they are way to fun! Nice snag.

I completely understand. This would never have worked in my old 30x30 shop. But since I added on, I actually planned on one bay being dedicated to it. We do still have the trip hazard there though...

Thanks. I watched craigslist for about 2 years till I found a deal that worked for me. It was still in service before I bought it too. It is used and older but I'm very happy with the addition to the shop. Rotary is one of the best commercial lifts on the market too.

Thanks, the wheels are temporary until I find some 18" rims that I like.
I didn't like the way low profile tires rode.

Have you looked at wheel vintiques, Detroit steel, or better yet, circle racing billet steelies? I think they would look killer on your truck in 18”, black or graphite, with a nice deep dish, dog dish hubcaps, and trim rings.

Edit: there’s also 18” versions of your current rally style from Detroit and US Mags.

Gotta say, I like your current setup better than the speedways. They just didn’t fit the style of your truck, IMO.

I haven't looked at any of these you have described. I have leaned toward an old school Torq Thrust II for a long time. I'm in no hurry on the 18" wheels, honestly.
I would like to find some stock 15" steelies and caps in the meantime.

Don't sweat the speedway comment, I think they looked okay, just hated the rough jarring ride. They are more suited for a more modified truck in my opinion too. I think GM got the look perfect on these trucks in 1969. It's pretty hard to beat.

. Just wondering after time has passed how is the raptor coating holding up? Any more updates on the truck as well?

Sorry for the delay in responding. The Raptor has held up well. I don’t haul firewood or anything other than an ice chest, spare tire and lawn chairs in the bed... my truck spend 99.5 % of the time in the garage. So the Raptor doesn’t see much sun time. I have put around 8200 miles on it since 2014. I drive it for for dinner a one legged burn out then put it back to bed. It’s fun to drive but a suspension upgrade is needed before I’ll drive it more regular. The lower control arms drag when I hit big dips or bumps in the road. It’s annoying..

The bottom and leading edge scrape. If you look at the lower control arms they are loaded with road rash. Possibly making contact with the cross member as well on a really big dip...

I believe I'm up to 5" now 2" drop spindles and 3" lowering springs. I'm ready to raise it up a little in the front.
