Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
@oem4me-I wish I did. The paint is original. The truck sat at my aunts cabin with the camper on it so it was more or less protected from a lot of abuse (sun. snow, etc)
@chevy_man5-The cut out you see is on both sides. When the camper was on it there was a storage compartment between the truck and the camper. @LostMy65-Yes I did. I have been waiting since 8th grade for it and finally grad college. The hood is great and has only a little surface rust (I think the pine tree sap may have helped save that a little. The bed is all original but if you look close there is one bad section where the fridge or something in the camper leaked and had a lot of moisture buildup. and the interior just needs a good scrubbing. What do you guys think. I was originally wanting to try a diesel performance engine in her to try something different but a 383 sbc seems to be a much easier and realistic. As for paint either the original blue or some sort of two tonw blue-white?? Opinions welcome Thanks |

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Glad to assist, your truck does look solid, nice job on the grill and headlights. Mines the same, has a little rust in the usual places, but overall very solid. Not many don't need a little TLC... guess that's why we like em.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Thanks tmills213, yes it's lowered, the front's got 2.5" drop spindles and i cut one coil from the spings, the back has 2000 cherokee springs. But if you are running 15" wheels yours will sit lower than mine, i'm using 17"rims and tall tires (29" from pavement to top of tire) i hope this helps.
