Those were some hefty flooring packs @ 70#. That's a bit much to be slinging up on your shoulder, which is my preferred way to carry heavy stuff. Lugging at the waste sucks, especially through doorways.

I don't know what is causing this annoyance. My post before the last one I noticed it took extra long for it to post, but I waited and didn't hit the button twice. I checked and only one post. It's nothing I'm doing and it's only this thread. It's not my computer because this is a different one. Plus, it happens to Dale sometimes, too. Weird, but I like this thread enough to keep coming back. I'm a love/hate guy when it comes to computers and internet. This plays on my hate side. Good thing I'm a look past it/get over it guy, too.

You guys are on opposite sides of the continent, too. Maybe you have the same kind of phones? Do you have to hit the "Post Reply" button more than once to get the window to open? Some of the stuff bears repeating, but I'm just curious.

How about you? Feelin' yesterday today? I'm a moaner and groaner a lot of days. Actually, last night I went to bed with a sore back and I didn't do any work the past two days. I think it was falling asleep sitting on the couch Friday night. It bothers me a lot when I stand around talking a while. I feel best when moving.

I don't use my phone and this is a new laptop. I only tapped the button once but it did take an obviously longer time to post. I noticed that the post before last and checked to see if it double posted... nope. Then I came back a bit later... nope. Then last evening on my last post it was slow so I walked away to do something. It was when I came back to it I saw posts asking if I'm studdering again and knew it had happened. It has nothing to do with what I am doing or my equipment. It has never happened on any other thread, either.

Be it a school bus or a rolling ball, I'm always on the lookout for kids getting into the street while I'm driving. Bikes too. My kid sister was hit by a car chasing a ball when we were little. Thankfully the driver saw the ball first and slammed on the binders! Just tapped her and knocked her over. Could have been so much worse had he not seen the ball and acted quick!

People need to slow it down, and I'm not just talking about driving.

That's amazing, isn't it? My grandfather had an International Farm-all 200, one of the old red tricycle tractors that were common back when. I saw him start it a few times with the hand crank when the battery was low. He would have loved that set up. It would be interesting to see the engineering behind that and an explanation of how it works. First thought is it must be a lower compression diesel than what we are used to.

The wife and I took the AMTRAK from LA to Flagstaff, AZ and back when we took a trip to the Grand Canyon. My first and only train ride, if I have anything to say about it. I could sleep OK on a Navy ship in bad seas and/or launching aircraft, but not on that train. Maybe that was because one never gets enough sleep when works in the engine room.

been on a few train rides, narrow gauge mountain tours in colorado as a kid, incline railways down the royal gorge and up pikes peak, all lots of fun..

we took the train back to la from kc couple of years ago and it was great, kids had a blast.. 2 rooms across from each other with four beds so everyone could lay down and see out both sides of the train..

took the kids up to oxnard for the polar express train ride year or two ago and it was a lot of fun too..

I love trains, dad had an ho layout and I started at an early age collecting mine.. had a two layer 4x8 table my dad made for me and still have all my engines and cars.. also have some little n gauge stuff left somewhere in those boxes

even still have an old 3 rail a/c lionel set I got when I was around 11-12yo
