Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Pick up a new bumper from Bow Tie bits the other day. They have great prices. It was a very nice day so I decided to tackle it. I also removed the tow hitch since I wont ever be towing with this truck ever lol.

Old bumper off

Huge dent on the right side. Tired of looking at it.

Hitch gone and new bumper on! So much better.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Well a couple of days ago, I mounted the 9 way power seat switches for the Pontiac Bonneville bucket seats in the wood console on the 67 C10. did I mention they are gray leather? Found them on Craigslist for a hundred bucks.

Got it out and drove it. First time in about 2 weeks i got gullizer out. While we were headed to dad and moms the banker finally told me to go ahead and do what i wanted to do with the truck.Total repaint, new chrome plus new engine and trans. It was her fathers truck and he past away in 2000.Me and him were fixing to do a total restoration when he was going to retire in about 4 months from then. the story later.

Man... those look super nice!
So much classier than the holes people cut in the doors.
*SMH* Why do people do that anyway?

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Coupla days ago Christmas to be exact I took the dog on an impromptu drive to the inlaws. On the drive home I smelled what I thoght to be canine flatulence. Turns out I was wrong. It was canine (St. Bernard) excrement. After realizing my predicament I pulled over and removed said feces and had a heart to heart with Fido. Unfortunately said dog had proceeded to walk around in her "little" Christmas present to me before I understood the situation. After returning home I got to spend the next hour shampooing the back of the burb. Theres an arguement for vinyle over carpet anyday.

Can I steal the speaker placement idea from you? I was wondering what I was going to use that space for.

Looks great. That's one of the mods that's on the list for mine ... but it has had a bad priority rating in the great scope of things.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Did a little cleaning and painting on the frame today.. TSC Implement Low Gloss Black with hardener and Mineral Spirits through the HF: HVLP.

Funny side note on that HF gun... I was talking with DWT earlier how good it has been, and not even 20 minutes later the stud flies out of the trigger... lol. *Go figure*

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Relocated the Holley fuel pump to the back of the truck... Also fixed the broken linkage on my transmission... Also installed a Bluetooth receiver so I can run my stereo system off my phone and no head unit needed... If someone looks in my truck all they see is the factory radio delete panel and they move on to the next vehicle
