Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

She's Beautiful but watch the potholes with that size tires. I just bent 2 of mine beyond repair with that exact size tire. They don't make these rims anymore so now I've got the 15's back on it til I can buy a new set.Attachment 624555

Attachment 624556[/quote]

IMO, it looks better with the 15's

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

i posted this pic in the old school thread. man i hate that saying. i drove a 71 short for 10 years and one day decided it needed to go. 2.5 or so years go by and decided i needed to be in another one cause my tundra just wasn't me.

i sniped this on the list looking for a month or so. not as nice as the one i had, but it will work. 71 short. 350 4 spd. fac tach. 373 positraction. leaf rear, which almost made me walk from the sale, but a actually kinda like it.

i installed ece 2 in drop springs and 1 to 2 drop shackles. found the appliance wheels just after i bought the truck. 235 70 15 front. 255 70 15 rear. its too bad corky coker dropped the 285. they look right in the rear of these trucks.

Yeah, I much prefer the 15's on your truck. It looks really sharp.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

believe me i know. those wheels got a few places on them and i have your 20's except in 24's on my daily with a 275 30, which is around the same tire height. ive got a few years practice on pothole awareness. lol. also....to each is his own buuutttt your truck with the 20's with red lips (black spokes) and a nice flat black paint job would be sick. imo

cam.man67, I love the pictures and the truck!

I especially like the side view mirrors you have. What year/make did they come off of? Are they towing mirrors?

I've seen a few trucks on the board here with mirrors like yours and would love to find some for my truck, but don't know what to ask for. I think they look a lot better than the tiny rectangular ones that are one my truck now. Plus, yours probably provide a functional view of the back of the truck - unlike the postage stamps I've got now.

Thanks for the help!

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what these mirrors are called. The guy who painted my truck had them on hand. I'm stopping by his place tomorrow, I'll ask him then. Glad you like the truck!
