Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here is my 86. 305/700R4, 1.25 coils cut out of each side and 1 leaf removed. She's mostly done, I need some clear sidemarkers, and not the ones from LMC.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here is a pic of the 84 I had in High school. I put every dollar I made into this truck and have been kicking myself ever since selling it. The kid that bought it from me totalled it about a month after he bought it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I'd take it as a compliment too. With Jason Hill being the square body God and your truck looking so sweet, it's just a natural first assumption. You might be one up on Jason since you have two eyes for the square body. So, since it's all you, great work indeed!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
It started out as a stock '82 with a big block
The motor's been rebuilt and puts out 500+ Hp and almost 600 ft. lbs. It's got a full 4-link in the rear and a crossover exhaust I'm currently installing a tubular front end from DJM and then it's heading for paint. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Nothing real special... just figured I'd post up some updated pics of the ole GMC
This was purchased by my wifes grandfather back in 87. He used it to pull his 20 foot tag along camper for 20 years. It was always taken good care of and the interior is perfect. no rips or tears. all stock. The body was faded, so I had the school where I work paint it. 350.00 ..... not bad. I polished all of the chrome and put it back on. the only upgrade to the exterior was the billet grill. The rest is completly stock. I planned on pulling my 27 foot camper with it, but decided after painting the truck to retire it and give it to my wifes dad for fathers day. He always wanted a truck... and it was HIS dads anyway. Happy Father's Day to him.... and me...... Here is the New truck and camper...... |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
That is cool I someday would like to build a 49 chevy for my dad he started on one when I was born in 81, then the army moved us to germany my sister was born 2 years later, by the time we made it back to the states I was 5 sister was 3 so dad had other priorities and ended up selling the truck. Kinda crazy now I've got kids and completely understand the sacrifices we make for our kids.
