Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

i was thinking about it but figured that when the power is off the airvalves dont work either

i seen some people with pickuptrucks use industrial co2 cylinders with a simple pressurevalve and no pumps watsoever there getting quite a few hops out of those
if you hook up a small cylinder like one out of a fire extinguisher/paintballgun to the tanks you should be able to lift it one time

idea's for the trucks and the order of things to do are taking shape and get closer to being realized , a few more months and i be able to start building for real

i complete 2 of the trucks intoo running fashion one custom and one basicly stock the thirth will be sacrificed for parts

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Thank you ! here is a pic for JTP67-72, shot of the carrier bearing and the bolt inside the yoke that bolts them together after you press the bearing on. Sorry for the terrible pics i should have slid a piece of white posterboard behind it , i didnt know they came out this dark !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

What color are you going with?
One shop last year quoted $10,000 to paint my Nova. The example car he showed me was a non metallic yellow Mopar. All I could say was you must be kidding. Good luck

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I think the color you're going with is a little lighter and has a bit of grey tint to it. At least that's what I remember from your previous post of colors.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I had about 6 hours in the garage yesterday !! That was NICE ! here is what i accomplished (without a sheetmetal brake) bent everything by hand ......got to get a brake ! After scrapping my original plan because of room , i somewhat loosely followed N2BILLETS lead on the shroud he made (my feeble attempt anyway) i built the upper braces into the top cover , so i could remove the upper mounts for a smoother look...anyway here are the pics
