Suprisingly that 73/74 grill with the 80's headlights looks good. Might even look cooler with the headlight bezels on.

Hey can you post some pics of the wheels? I would like to see what kind of center caps and how they are mounted. I have the typical simulators on now but was thinking of taking them off and painting the steel wheels black and leaving only the center part of the simulators on.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

hmm the stripes can go unless it's factory(mine did)
did a truck flat black about 10 years ago, never again... drunks don't see it in the dark,
then again passed out ones don't see the shiney gold ones either
lotsa lights i like too
after looking at the cost of painting the truck i chose roll on flat black ,
cause the sun melts snow faster!and it was for camping and winter snow /mud
my most recent paint is roll on tremclad fire red rust paint.....NOT flat lol

I'm in a similar boat. I have simulators, but dislike the look of the small holes they have. I've been debating on either black, gray or silver painted wheels with either the centers from my simulators or maybe some '88-'98 factory chrome caps.

Dunno. I thought I had seen them on a square dually before, but I'm not sure.

I have the 16" 10-hole Alcoa classics on my CC & they just don't work for me. They're nice enough wheels, just not something I'd roll with. I really wish 20" dually wheels were available. Not enough tire sizes to justify cutting some 19.5's down & definitely not enough 'direct fit' wheel choices. 22's are too much $$....

Regardless, I don't know that I would buy 20" billet wheels anyway as I was usually the guy in the group w/steelies while everyone else was using something 'cool' like Centerline Auto drags.... then Welds, then Boyds, or whatever next trendy wheel. I stuck w/steelies where applicable & was trying to come up w/something similar for the CC as well.

I definitely like the painted factory 16" steelies w/some 88-98 caps

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

it's very possible. the guy i got it from had owned it 3 different times. i know its bounced around illinois and indiana and now its made its way to iowa. as far as the tire size goes its got 215/85/16s on it.
