Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Thanks you guys for the kind words.

It is 2012 (& a few later years) Honda Milano Red. I originally intended to use their San Marino Red but it was a little darker and I thought over-the-line heading toward burgundy....though a very pretty color.

PS: The first two pics are pretty accurate. The one at the end of my driveway was in bright sun and it makes it look MUCH brighter than it really is.

Nice pics. Thanks. Makes me think more 54s were produced than any other year of AD's.

post 3152, I wonder how much air flow restriction is caused by the velocity stacks being close to the underside of the closed hood.lol.

It's called GM Bright Red.

It looks great. How did you decide on the color, see itlin a color book or on a truck somewhere?

Lots of pics online, car shows were the best look at different colors. I bounced around from black, burnt orange, red, and blue (then selected blue). It's an off shoot of a 2015 Silverado blue from Matrix. I also had them paint the dash and door panel grey (called pepper corn grey metallic).

Thanks. I know it's only 2" drop, but my wife says it rides better (smoother) for her, so all is good.

Looks good. What did you do to get the 2" drop on both ends? What are your wheel and tire sizes?

Wheels are 16x8 with 235/60 16 tires all around.
Drop in front, using 2" drop spindles from CPP
Drop in rear, using 2" longer shackles from Western Suspension (they also make leaf springs in 3" & 4" drop). I am still using the stock leaf springs as I wanted to retain the original stance, just 2" lower.

The whole project took less than a day. Recommend spraying penetrating oil in the back leaf spring shackle nuts the day before to make breaking them loose easier. Whole project cost $230 (parts), my labor, priceless LOL. Mention this forum when ordering from CPP to receive an extra 10% discount.
