Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I am trying to figure out how to install my new seats in my truck. I bought new leather seats. They are the second row out of a new Honda Odyssey. If anyone has any information on how to attach these, I would really appreciate it. They have hooks on the rear portion of the seats and slots in front. Help. Thanks much.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I have used my old seat brackets and just redrilled them to fit the new seat but that worked for me on my seat, may not be as easy on yours.

It might be easier to just cut off the original mounting hooks and tabs and remake your own mounts. I have done it many times, it is not all that difficult.

Good luck

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Did some more work on my doors. First pic is of Passenger door after spraying boom mat on. I had already sprayed rust converter, rust encapsulator and bedliner before the boom mat. Now its ready for the skin to go on.

Next couple of pics are of the rust work on the Drivers side door. Replaced the inner door bottoms, fixed the rusted out upper hinge area and fixed the upper part of the door on the latch side.

Dang that looks great Randy! Man, you are going to town on that truck...you have accomplished more in a week than most "body shops" accomplish on a truck in 6 months.

Thanks Scott. Only 2 doors, 2 fenders, a hood and a tailgate left to sand and paint. I've started on the doors. Oh yeah...and 2 wheel houses.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Took advantage of the break in the weather to fix a couple of things and change the oil. Figured as long as I was at it, I would install the new radio antenna that I bought a while back.
I got the cowl off, new antenna install installed and the wire run though the firewall. All I had left to do was plug it into the back of the radio and I'd be done.

Three hours later....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Put some white grease on the wing windows... wow what a difference...

I think I stopped a horrible squeek.. The passenger side latch on the Blazer hatch has broken fiberglass and I htink that was the casue.. I just put a screw in it so it can't move...
